Letter I wrote to the TSA & DHS

To Whom it may concern,

I ride a plane, on average, 6+ times a year. I have been following the TSA and their protocol since John Pistole has been the Administrator and started making significant changes to the organization. I have always been a bit worried about the intense pat-down situation, especially for young children, elderly, and the disabled. I always understood the need for them and the reason why you guys had those policies-- to keep all of us safe. However, I still worried on the effects it had on the people. I saw videos and stories of individuals crying, feeling violated after receiving a pat-down. (IE. young children, ex. miss America, older handicapped male, bladder cancer survivor, etc.) I always beleived these cases should've been handled with more care and by TSA officers with more extensive training. And I still think this but I am very pleased to hear about the new upcoming changes to the organizations protocol, I think a change needed to be made and I am glad that it has. I'm not sure what all the change intails, but the fact that there is a change will hopefully be good for the organization, the travelers and all of America. I want to thank you for that. And I hope that you continue try to make things better and keep up the good work.
